If you wish to cancel an appointment, 24 hour notice is required.   If you cancel late, or miss an appointment, I ask for ½ payment for the session missed.

If I miss a scheduled appointment due to my own negligence, you will receive a free session.

Please come on time or 5 minutes before your scheduled appointment.

If you are late, please remember that I must keep my other appointments on schedule, so your session may need to be shortened.

Appropriate Professional Behavior

My profession ascribes to ethical behavior, as outlined in the AMTA code of ethics that is available upon request.  I adhere to all of the statements in this ethical code.

Everything that is communicated in a session is completely confidential.

Communication During and After Therapy

Please feel free to communicate with me during your massage if it concerns an observation about your body or the work.

Chatting is discouraged. This is why…. Your time having massage is feeling, awareness, and relaxation, and when one talks or uses analytical thinking, one is not able to feel the body fully.  Also, it  distracts  the practitioner, so that the work being done may be less effective.

Please feel free to communicate any feeling of discomfort as soon as you are aware of it regarding the music (volume or choice), temperature of the room, level of pressure, or draping.

Feel free to call after your appointment if you have any questions.

Before and after your massage

It is important that you keep your body well hydrated both before and after your massage, so drink plenty of fluids.  Also, move around after your massage to encourage circulation of redistributed body fluids.

It is a good idea to rest or take a nap if you have time.  Your body is healing and reintegrating. Take time to listen to your body’s messages.  Breathe fully.

Client Health Information

If you are a new client, I will ask you to fill out a Health Intake Form, so that I can better assess your therapeutic needs.

If you prefer, you can print out a copy of the Health Intake Form and fill it out prior to your first appointment.

All information will be kept strictly confidential.
